About Me
I fell in love with Chinese Medicine long before I made the commitment to study it in graduate school. I discovered a book about Macrobiotics and Chinese Medicine and became fascinated with the idea of microcosm vs macrocosm and the fact that all of the elements that made up the universe were also working within us. I resonated with the idea that everything around us has energy, and that the expressions of these energies are related to the seasons of earth. These seasons, or movements, are where we get the “Five Elements.”

I made the decision to study Classical Chinese Medicine after receiving treatment from David Berkshire, LAc in the Worsley Five Element method. After my first treatment, I had a dream that I was being initiated in a ceremony. In subsequent treatments, I noticed that my health improved, I felt better, and I was able to make necessary changes in my life. My life transformed. I could show up more fully and it seemed easier to be me. The places where I felt stuck opened up and the future looked brighter. My dreams seemed more possible.
Additionally, in 5 E Acupuncture I found all the ways in which I was seeking to grow my practice of Shiatsu and Chi Nei Tsang that had long been my work. What I was seeking finally found me.
What It Takes to Practice 5 E Acupuncture
While in school at the National University of Natural Medicine, I embarked on a training in Five Element Acupuncture with David Berkshire, LAc. and Eric Hartmann, LAc. through the Worsley Institute. Being a Five Element Acupuncture practitioner is a lifelong process of refining our senses and learning to be instruments of nature, so that we can assist others toward balance and harmony within.

Energy Hygiene
Five Element Acupuncture transformed my ability to be me in the world. It also allowed me to tap into my sensitivity, and I am now studying in a 2-year Clairvoyant program with Kawena Charlot at the Intuitive Path Academy. Meditating, learning to ground, and clearing my own energetic field allows me to show up more fully with both myself and with clients. Energy hygiene is a term most people haven’t heard – but it’s an important skill involving clearing one’s aura, chakras, vibration, physical and emotional body, and having good boundaries that make it clear what is me, and what is not me. All of these tools allow me to be more clear and “free.”
More Personal
Currently, other than pursuing a career in the healing arts, I am devoted to a spiritual path of being a servant of the Great Awakening. I believe that humanity is experiencing a profound shift from 3D to 5D consciousness and that we are about to wake up to our true nature. We are powerful beings – and living in harmony with the Earth can allow us greater access to her power to heal, thrive, live in harmony and evolve. So must it be!
In my free time I listen to podcasts about astrology and spirituality, garden, hike, do yoga, surf, cook, study, gather with like-minded people, and try to have fun and play as much as possible.
